THE VAULT
Your monthly toolkit.
THE VAULT
No news. No opinions. Just assets. This is our monthly toolkit. 3 prompts. 1 workflow. 1 Monday action. No noise.
Most AI risk does not arrive through procurement. It arrives through updates, defaults, and claims nobody checked. This toolkit finds it in three places: your own claims, the vendors you are reviewing, and the tools you already pay for.
Don’t read this now. Save these for Monday.
3 Prompts (Copy-Paste Ready)
The Over-Claim Detector
Use when: a vendor page, or your own deck, makes an AI claim you cannot fully back.
Read the text below. List every claim that cannot be verified from the
text itself: numbers, time-savings, and "AI-powered" language especially.
For each, write the one question that would confirm or kill it. Under 150
words, no praise, no summary. Skip the claims that hold up as stated.
TEXT: <PASTE THE PAGE OR YOUR CLAIM>
You’ll get: the lines that will not survive a budget meeting.
The Vendor AI X-Ray
Use when: a renewal or vendor review is coming and you need to know where AI quietly entered.
I am reviewing <VENDOR / PRODUCT>. Write 8 short questions for the call
that surface: where it uses AI, what data it sends out, whether my inputs
train their models, and who is accountable when it is wrong. Plain
language, numbered. Flag any that need a formal written answer rather
than an oral one.
You’ll get: the questions vendors hope you won’t ask.
The Quiet Update Catcher
Use when: a tool you already use just shipped an AI feature you did not ask for.
Below are the latest release notes for <TOOL>. In under 120 words: which
new features use AI, what each does with my data by default, and which are
on unless I turn them off. End with one line on whether to flag IT. If the
notes are unclear, say so.
RELEASE NOTES: <PASTE TEXT>
You’ll get: the default setting nobody announced.
1 Workflow
The Claim Cleanup. Fifteen minutes that keep you out of an awkward budget call.
Open the last deck where you cited an AI or productivity win. (2 min)
Run each claim through the Over-Claim Detector above. (5 min)
For anything flagged, find the real number or cut the line. (5 min)
Save the clean version as next month’s template.
Time: 15 minutes once, then reuse. Tool: any AI chat.
Monday Morning Warmup
Open one tool you use every day. Find its most recent “what’s new” note. See if an AI feature switched on without you noticing.
Hit reply and tell us which tool surprised you. We are keeping a list.
Keep the prompts that earn a permanent place in your workflow. Delete the rest.
If this saved you time, forward it.
That’s your Vault.
See you Tuesday.
