The Vault
Your monthly toolkit.
THE VAULT — June 2026
No news. No opinions. Just assets.
This is our monthly toolkit. 3 prompts. 1 workflow. 1 Monday habit. No noise.
Don’t read this now. Save these for Monday.
1. The Human Filter
Use when: you are about to send something AI helped you write.
Flag every line in the draft below that sounds AI-written: hedging, throat-clearing,
"it's worth noting," tidy three-item lists, filler like "in today's landscape."
Rewrite each in plain, direct language. Keep my meaning, add nothing. If a line's
information cannot survive the rewrite, flag it instead of guessing.
Draft: <PASTE DRAFT, e.g., a client email about a slipped deadline>
Return two columns: Flagged line | Plain rewrite. No preamble.
2. The Counter-Case
Use when: before you pitch anything to a skeptical boss or committee.
Be the most skeptical person in the room. List the five strongest objections my
proposal below will face, hardest first. For each: one line on why it lands, one
line to answer it. Be specific, not generic. If it is too vague to attack, say
what is missing.
Proposal: <PASTE, e.g., moving the team from Tool A to Tool B next quarter>
Five objections, two lines each. No pep talk.
3. The Ask Decoder
Use when: your boss sends a vague one-liner and you cannot tell what “done” looks like.
Below is a vague request from my manager. Give me three things: (1) what they most
likely want, (2) two questions worth asking before I start, (3) a first move I can
make in under fifteen minutes. If the request is ambiguous, explain both interpretations.
Request: <PASTE, e.g., "Put together something on the Q3 numbers for Thursday">
Three parts. Plain language. No filler.
The Workflow: The Recurring Report
For the monthly report you dread. Build it once, and fill in the blanks after. Tool: any chat AI. Time: about 15 minutes, once.
Paste last month’s report. Ask the AI to turn it into a reusable template with
<BRACKETED>blanks for whatever changes month to month.Ask it to write one prompt that takes your rough notes and fills that template.
Test it on this month’s notes. Correct what reads wrong.
Save the template and the prompt together. Next month is fill-in-the-blanks.
Monday Morning Warmup
Paste your last sent email into any AI and ask one question: which sentences sound like a person, and which sound like a press release? Read the answer. That gap is worth watching.
Hit reply and tell us the most human line it called robotic.
If this saved you time, forward it.
That’s your Vault.
See you Tuesday.
